The idea was to give you an authentic taste of Crete without falling short on modern comforts. And this is exactly what this villa has to show. The prevalence of wood and stone both inside and outside creates a feeling of warmth and coziness. The pale colored walls and tiles naturally merge into the stone and wood and further into the landscape to give you a sense of utter harmony.

On its two floors it has a balcony with panoramic landscape and sea views, a fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom. The living room has air condition, fireplace and a flat screen TV.

At the borders of Chania and Rethymnon prefecture, on the top of a hill is the village of Kastellos surrounded by a rich greenish flora environment. It offers uninterrupted views of the landscape and the sea, which is only a 10 minute drive away. The closest beach is Georgioupolis organized beach which is 13km long, covered with golden sand and attracts thousands of people every year both Greek and foreigners. Kastellos houses are traditional and stone built that have been recently renovated offering all modern comforts. Kastellos is the perfect holiday destination for people who want to change their everyday stressful routine and relax away from everything. The house is located in a silent and remote location. Yet it is conviniently connected with major cities on the North coast and with seaside areas on both coasts. The atmosphere is unique. Truly recommended if you need a place for relaxing and resting.

I booked this for my niece to go to on honeymoon. They had a wonderful time and loved the house. The views are excellent and the location is great, located in a lovely village with very friendly and helpful locals. Maria's tavern next door is highly recommended. Manos was a great host, quick to respond to questions and was very accommmodating when we needed to change dates.

Alles wunderbar - die Lage ist der Hammer und die Taverne um die Ecke ein echtes Erlebnis, das wir schon jetzt sehr vermissen. Es ist alles wie beschrieben und man kann wundervolle TAge verbingen. Die einzigen Abzüge ergeben sich durch die nicht mehr zeitgemäßen Bäder (unten viel zu klein; hier würde eine schöne Toilette voll genügen und oben etwas zu alt alles und vor allem keine zeitgemäße... more
