Your holidays in Crete should include one thing: to cool yourself down and shake away the stress at the hidden Crete and this pure vibrant villa, located a few meters from the southern shores of Crete and particularly the attractive beach of Triopetra, 52 km south of Rethymno.
Archontiko Villa is a traditional two-storey vacation villa clad in stone and wood elements. On this cozy holiday mansion a large and comfortable living area is connected by a large arch to the kitchen and the dining area with a fireplace, while two bedrooms on the second floor are carefully decorated, personalized, with unique decorations and ethnic furniture. The master bedroom includes a private bathroom and a private balcony with amazing uninterrupted views of the Libyan Sea. The recent renovation (2020) made the central core of Lyraris Villa look even brighter and prettier inside, which extends outside to the furnished terrace. Outside it is completed by a manicured lush fenced-in garden with large lawn areas, ideal for families with children, with a big swimming pool ideal to cool down from the summer heat. Archontiko Villa is a great choice for holidaymakers wishing to relax in the tranquility of the countryside of South Crete or to discover the unique South Crete’s beaches (Tripetra, Agios Pavlos, Lygres, Preveli), located just outside of the village Akoumia. The exquisiteness of the southern part of Crete is unmatched, a land rich in natural and cultural gems.
Archontiko Villa is located in the southern part of the Prefecture of Rethymno, 4 km from Triopetra Beach with the towering rocks and 6 km from Akoumia village. Triopetra Beach is one of the favorite beaches in Crete, which is like nothing you have ever seen before, known for the stunning rock formation and the crystal clear waters. From the two tavernas that lined behind the beach, offering local fish-based dishes, you can admire the Libyan Sea with a sip of raki that I perfectly combined with a little bit of cheese and melon. Plakias is the nearest seaside village with small hotels and many beachfront restaurants & cafes. Don’t miss the gorges of Preveli (and the monastery), Kourtaliotis, and Kotsifos that are easily visited and walked. Akoumia village is accessible from Chania and Heraklion International Airports. From Chania, it is 106km - an hour and 30-minute drive; and from Heraklion, it is 124km - an hour and 40 minutes away. Triopetra can be reached driving from Rethymno (52km), through the small mountain village of Spili, known for its cooling shady plateia and running waters.
