Marina Mare is located next to Agia Marina and Platanias, the main tourist resorts in the northwest of Crete developed to satisfy all your needs. Easy to go on foot from the villa to shops, bakers, fish market and restaurants, the area has a cosmopolitan atmosphere as it combines clean sandy beaches and all kinds of tourist infrastructure. The beautiful cave of Nerospilia and Agia Lake are minutes drive from the villa, while across from the beach lies the small rocky islet of Theodorou, famous for its historical and ecologic significance. The Olive Museum of Vatolakos hosts an interesting folklore collection in a 18th century olive mill, while heading from the direction of Agia village, you come across the short but scenic Katsouna Gorge (1km long) that is believed to be the Xenia Street of Herodotus. The Venetian Old Port of Chania is only 9 km away to admire the charm of the city with a long history and culture.
