More than a century of stories have been born in this villa, which was originally built in 1900. Its owners rebuilt it in full in 2012, so that you can hopefully create a story of your own; a story that you will be sharing for many years ahead.
The one thing you will not miss while staying at Villa Zouridi is space; the villa is large enough (500 sq. m.) to accommodate up to 15 people, without anyone feeling crammed. On top of that, it features a 100 sq. m. private pool.
This building is divided in three different apartments. ‘Spanos’ is the largest one (up to 7 guests), featuring a living room, a dining area, two double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The other two apartments lay at the lower level. The larger of the two is called ‘Fournos’ and can take up to 5 guests (one double bedroom, one bedroom with two single beds, one living area with a dining table and one bathroom). The smallest one, ‘Axeronas’, can accommodate up to 3 people (one double bed, one sofa bed in the living room and one bathroom). All have adequate equipment, providing independence. The villa has also a communal dining area, a communal living room and a communal kitchen. Should you find yourself in a “I don’t want to do anything” mood, the owners are always willing to prepare your meals for you with a small fee. Outside, by the pool there is a BBQ area and a small bar where you can sit and enjoy the panoramic view.
Small notice: The owners leave in the property in an individual studio but they are there to help if needed. As you can see in the reviews, all of our previous guests, loved them
Last but not least, within the 20 acres of land the villa sits in, you will meet ‘Daphne’, the owners’ horse. You are free to take her for a ride.
The position of the villa is excellent: centrally located in the heart of Crete, only 18 km from the historic and vibrant City of Rethymno, Villa Zouridi is perfect for a variety of activities of historical, cultural or simply recreational interest.
The area is full of Christian churches which you can visit and admire. At the same time, you are very close to the Temple of the Five Maidens, one of the most historical monuments in Crete. The natural beauty of the area is a bonus for those who love outdoor activities. We can arrange hikes for you in the surrounding countryside which is filled with wild flowers and herbs. The village of Argiroupolis, popular for its waters - courtesy of the springs of the Holy Power, traditional taverns, ancient mills and chapels is just nearby. Also, thanks to the location of Villa Zouridi, you have easy access to both the North and South coast of Crete. In 15 minutes you can be at the beach of Episkopi, while in another 25 minutes you can be at the beautiful southern resort of Plakias.

Our experience was incredible from start to finish. Two glorious weeks in a luxury villa which had both a very authentic Greek ambiance but also all of the mod cons that you could ask for. It was spotlessly clean, the pool was maintained well and Giannis and Despina (the owners) were there to help with any questions and queries that we had. They even brought us little treats and local delicacies a... more
Zouridi Villa Park is a lovely setting - beautiful stone lodgings surrounded by views of the hills. We loved the spacious pool and bar/BBQ area. The owners Giannis and Espina live on site (Zouridi Villa Park is a former guest house) so were always on hand if you needed anything or wanted some guidance on local activities. The views from the Spanos balcony at night were absolutely beautiful. Thank ... more
The house is absolutely amazing. Perfect place for a family group vacations. Hosts are very nice, very helpfull. It's a quiet place, a base from where you can make small tours around the island (Episkopi beach and Rethimno- must see). Small "but" - it's a little too hot in some rooms in a lower part of the building during the night (we were visiting in July). The AC is not sufficiant enough there.
